Eric Church Makes Whiskey Record { LITERALLY }

Posted on April 22nd, by Tennessee Whiskey Trail in News. No Comments

We thought we had seen and heard it all – everything from whiskey toothpaste to whisky flavored condoms. That was until this weekend. We here at the Trail would like to consider ourselves cultured in the ‘finer things’, with one of the finest things being music. While hanging out at the local record shop for Record Store Day this past weekend, we heard rumors of a country artist releasing a limited vinyl pressing using Tennessee whiskey. Yep, you heard that right.

Now it’s not uncommon for artists to have a special release for their devoted fans on RSD. You may find your favorite album remastered, or with additional tracks, or a fancy new color. ACM Album of the Year winner, Eric Church, decided to release a double-vinyl version of his new live album Caught in the Act that also includes a seven-inch single made with whiskey.

Novelties like this are what has helped RSD continue to grow in popularity from year to year. We’re happy to see TN Whiskey playing a part in attracting folks to these local music retailers.
